This Blog site is primarily to discuss the genealogy of the Gwinn Family who settled in northern Wayne County, Iowa before the Civil War. In 1849, Samuel and Sintha Gwinn settled north of what is now Humeston. His sister and brother-in-law, Marshall Harvey and Mary Jane (Gwinn) Richmond preceded them as the Gwinn's were held up in Eddyville by the birth of their first son, Andrew. Andrew was my gg-grandfather. I will attempt to chronicle their decendents. Read! Enjoy! Comment!
